RK Fauth
RK Fauth is a poet who writes about gender, language, and the un/natural world. Her debut collection, A Dream in Which I Am Playing with Bees, published in 2024 by Texas Tech University Press, won the Walt McDonald First Book Prize in Poetry. Playing with Bees was also a finalist for the Julie Suk Award and the Audre Lorde Award in Poetry, and was long-listed for the UK’s Laurel Prize in Ecopoetry. The titular poem won a Treehouse Climate Action Prize from the Academy of American Poets.
Fauth’s poems have been published in POETRY Magazine, Poem-a-Day, AGNI, and several queer and environmental anthologies. Her work has been supported by the Fulbright Program, Art Omi, and the Oak Spring Garden Foundation. Fauth earned a Master’s degree in English from Georgetown University, where she was a Lannan Fellow at the Center for Poetics and Social Practice. She is based in New York.
