Amber Adams

Amber Adams is the author of Becoming Ribbons (Unicorn Press, 2022) which was a finalist for the X.J. Kennedy Prize. Her writing has appeared in POETRY, Poetry Northwest, American Literary Review, Narrative, Witness, HAD and elsewhere. Adams has received fellowships and residencies from the National Endowment for the Arts, the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts, the Kyoto Writers Residency, and Longleaf Writers Conference. She received her MA in Literary Studies from the University of Denver and her MA in Counseling from Regis University. Adams served in the United States Army Reserves for seven years and deployed to Kuwait under Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2005-2006. She was honorably discharged with the rank of Sergeant. She lives in Longmont, Colorado with her family.
