Amanda Oliver

Amanda Oliver is a writer, editor, and former librarian. She is the author of OVERDUE: Reckoning With the Public Library, named a Best Nonfiction Book of 2022 by Esquire. Amanda has written and been interviewed about libraries and library work for NPR, CBC Radio, The Washington Post,The Guardian, the Los Angeles Times, The Associated Press, Electric Literature, Lit Hub, and elsewhere. Amanda holds BA and MLS degrees from SUNY Buffalo and a MFA from University of California at Riverside. A Buffalo, New York native, she currently calls the Mojave Desert near Joshua Tree home.
