Nancy is the author of two New York Times bestselling novels. Loving Frank (2007), which chronicles a little-known chapter in the life of legendary American architect Frank Lloyd Wright, sold approximately a gajillion copies and has been translated into sixteen languages. The novel won the 2009 James Fenimore Cooper Prize for Best Historical Fiction, awarded by the Society of American Historians.
Under the Wide and Starry Sky (2014), named one of the best books of the year by the Washington Post, explores the improbable relationship of Robert Louis Stevenson and his spirited American wife, Fanny Van de Grift Stevenson.
A native Midwesterner, Nancy Horan now lives and writes on Whidbey Island in Puget Sound. We are thrilled to welcome Nancy to Columbia!
