One of Unbound’s core missions is to encourage a love of reading and writing in all ages, especially the young, and so we take our children’s programming very seriously.
The festival’s children events take place in two quite different ways and places.
On Friday, April 20, we put on the “Authors in the Schools” project. We aim to bring a real, live, walking talking author into at least one classroom in every grade in the Columbia Public Schools system, from Kindergarten to Twelfth Grade. This year our participating authors are:
On the morning of Saturday, April 21, the following authors will be doing presentations at the festival itself, on the campus of Stephens College:
In addition, the beautiful singing princesses from TRYPS will be visiting us once again to entertain the crowds with their songs.
Gabby Rivera will also be appearing at the festival on Saturday.
